X-Board "Print" is a versatile, environmentally-friendly
board, which offers manufacturers an alternative to MDF, particle board and non-renewable petrochemical-based foamed-core boards typically used for short-term advertising and displays.
X-Board's unique high-crush strength core is manufactured from 100% post-consumer paper waste
and organic-based VOC-free adhesives.
Rigidly sandwiched between two layers of semi-rigid recycled white paper, X-Board can be disposed
of in paper recycling bins after use.
X-Board is versatile ....it can be UV inkjet printed directly. It’s acid-free, paper liners can also be laminated with decorative or printed poster papers to make veneer or metallic looking lightweight panels.
Panels can be mitre-cut, folded or curved, shape cut , canvas or fabric-wrapped, photo-mounted and fastened together with velcro, hot-melt adhesive or magnetic strips, generating an endless array of design possibilities.
For production runs, X-Board is best cut using a CNC router or flatbed digital cutting table with oscillating knife. For simple straight-cutting for low volume hobby, DIY or set-building use, a heavy duty Stanley-knife, panel saw, jigsaw or vertical foam trimmer may easily be used. See the Xanita video channel showing some of these processing methods.
If you need to hide it's exposed kraft edges, X-Board can be double-mitre cut and folded back on itself, or one can easily apply a range of protective edge-banding materials such as pre-glued melamine edgebanding tape.
Typical applications for X-Board include:
Structural, flat-packed, point-of-purchase displays
- Semi-permanent office and promotional event furniture
- Exhibition displays and furniture
Industrial packaging
- Display plinths / counters
- Bookshelves
- Room dividers

-
Wrap it with decorative pre-pigmented fabrics for soft furnishings on walls
-
Cold-press rigid high-pressure laminates to it for vertically mounted display applications eg ABET high-pressure laminates
-
Paint it with quick-drying blackboard or fluorescent paint.
-
Edge it with C-channel aluminium edging for pin board or standee displays
-
Edge it with black or white extruded C-Channel PVC (remove the PVC strip before recycling the board)
