Xanita began 2008 by holding two consecutive events: the African-themed Trade and Partner Imbizos. “Imbizo”, Zulu for “cultural gathering of heart and mind”, refers to two conferences that Xanita held from the 4 to 8 February and 11 to 13 February respectively.

The first Trade Imbizo was an intensive five-day session. It was attended by the full contingent of Xanita’s local and international sales team, including Lisa Lai (Xanita USA) and Robin Curtis (Xanita Oceana). The goal of the Trade Imbizo was to share learnings and to nourish the culture of growth and passion within the company.

The second Partner Imbizo held the following week was attended by Xanita’s local and global distributors, including delegates from Vink (Europe), Falcon (South Africa), Serilon (South America), Bent (Italy) and Digital Brothers (Poland). In addition to the valuable insight and knowledge that was gained by all who attended, a lot of fun was had in the process; one of the more social events being a half-hour African Djembe drumming session, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all!

Xanita began the year on a positive note with the success of both Imbizos. 2008 is set to be a great year for them and their respective distributors.
