The Australian Government's business website now has an Environmental Management Topic to help Australian business go green, reduce global warming and save money. There are now more than 100 pages of advice and information to help businesses go green on www.business.gov.au.
The launch of the Environmental Management Topic follows the APEC Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Ministers meeting held in early March and chaired by Fran Bailey, the Minister for Small Business and Tourism. Ms Bailey commented that “More and more businesses are searching for ways to be more environmentally friendly. Through business.gov.au, we are providing all the key green information business needs at the click of the button.”
The new Environmental Management Topic includes guides, incentives and tools to help businesses go green, from recycling to environmental planning. There is also a linked emissions calculator for businesses. The topic also presents a list of more than 50 grants and assistance programs available to businesses, along with information on how businesses can benefit by introducing environmental practices.
