The annual student Carnival in Stellenbosch, South Africa, kicked off on 31 January with the ever-popular “window dressing” shows.
Xanita supported the Serruria and Simonsberg hostels by supplying them with X-Board which was used to create several props for the show. The theme of their show was the 2010 World Cup. Xanita’s X-Board was used to create a replica of the golden trophy “cup”, several World Cup taxi’s and a Bus Café, from which they sold snacks to the public. The students found the X-Board an ideal material from which to construct their props, as it is lightweight, easy to paint and most importantly in this instance, inexpensive - an essential requirement for any student!
Thousands of people from all over the country attended the Carnival and the Serruria/ Simonsberg World Cup show was a great success.
