Elle Decoration chooses X-Board |

X-Board was recently utilised by Elle Decoration at the Design Indaba Expo (23 to 29 February, 2008) held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) in South Africa. Elle Decoration used 10 mm X-Board for several free-standing artifacts, including a suspended decorative bulkhead at their exhibition stand.
Formaldehyde-based MDF would typically have been used in the past, but would now fly in the face of a sustainable design brief. X-Board offered the exhibitor a 75% weight savings, meaning less installation time and less labour on site, as well as direct substrate printability with scratch resistant UV curable inks and virtually dust-free knife cutting. Best of all, the applications were fully repulpable post-use.
