Graphic Laminates produce signage for Woolworths

Graphic Laminates, a South African printer and converter, recently manufactured tower caps from Xanita’s X-Board for Woolworths, a nationwide South African retailer. Signage was created for the top of their promotional goods towers in the Woolworths Food Courts using approximately 400 sheets of 12mm X-Board. The printed boards were “V” cut and delivered as a flat pack. The boards were then folded to form an open rectangular box.

For Woolworths at Cavendish Square, an upmarket shopping mall in South Africa, Graphic Laminates created signage for the café within the store. 12mm sheets of X-Board were printed with UV flatbed printers and mounted to the walls of the store. For the decorative columns running from the floor to the ceiling, 360° X-Board signage was used to “wrap” the pillars. Both applications made use of eco-friendly inks, adhering to the Woolworths’ principle of utilising sustainable materials wherever possible.

The use of X-Board for these particular applications provides a simple, lightweight, quick-to-fit and aesthetically-pleasing signage solution.
