Flat Jack wins at Launch Pad |
|
Spaceleft’s “Flat Jack”, a bookcase made from X-Board, competed at the much-publicised Launch Pad competition which was held at the Melbourne Museum in Australia on the 16th August 2008, and took home the prestigious Living Edge prize.
Flat Jack is made from a single sheet of X-Board and is designed to maximise material use. The key to Flat Jack's unique structure is that the vertical supports are cut from the horizontals ensuring that 96% of the X-Board sheet is utilised. Flat Jack is lightweight, easy-to-assemble and transport, making it a versatile storage solution. Flat Jack comes in a range of three standard prints or with custom prints a “made to order” option.
