X-Board used for Smike set design

SACS Junior School located in Newlands, South Africa, recently used X-Board for their production of “Smike”, a musical freely based on Charles Dickens’ “Nicholas Nickelby”. The show ran from the 11-13 June 2008 and X-Board was used for the set design.

The board was cut by hand and then painted to replicate a classroom backdrop, complete with brick walls and a window. The lightness of the board meant that it was easy to erect and also take down once the show ended. The audience was extremely impressed with the creativity of the set and all commented on its stunning appearance.
